She posed on an anti-aircraft gun used to shoot down our pilots. She called our POWs hypocrites and liars and referred to their torture as 'understandable.' Even she had to apologize years later for that gun picture. But not for the rest of it. By the way, she still says she is not proud of America. So, the moral indignation is a little much. She put her plastic surgery out there ... and honestly, she has no business lecturing anyone on what qualifies as offensive."

Don't forget when an American prisoner of the North Vietnamese met with Ms. Fonda and managed to slip her a note - Hanoi Jane immediately turned that note over to his captors, who gave him an extra dose of torture.

I hope a couple of you capture that photo. It's been my experience that uncomplimentary pix of celebrities tend to disappear after a while. I can't find that one of Michael Bloomberg surrounded by his security detail of four or five NYC cops any more. Seems to have disappeared from online sources a couple of years ago.

I remembered that. I imagine most of us who are Vietnam veterans remember that. I don't think she has ever apologized for that act, either.

While she DID have a photo taken on a enemy AA gun, the bit about her handing over a note a pow gave her to the VC has, IIRC, been debunked.

Correct. However, a prisoner, Michael Benge, was beaten by Vietnamese captors for refusing to meet with Fonda.

Naw, I went that route, the particular pic has disappeared. Four or five cops, the one in the foreground was a black pretty female officer.
Not that I'm that good at Google searches.
No big deal, except I have noticed a "culling" effect from other celebrities on occasion. If that particular Bloomberg one turns up, then I'm wrong.
