There is more than one groundhog that comes out of a burrow to predict spring. Who knew?

.22 LR has worked well for me. 22 mag if they are at a distance

920 JDJ.
-
.243 Winchester, killed many with that.
-
I've killed groundhogs with .22 LR, .22-250, .243, .220 Swift, .30-06, .300 Savage, and .25-20.
-
My go to last year was .300BLK subsonic through a suppressed SBR AR15. Fun for me, but not for the groundhogs.
-
.22LR works just fine.
In this case it was plain old Federal bulk stuff.

.50 BMG.
It's the only way to be sure.

Unpossible. You need at least a GAU-8
