Not sure if all of you are aware about YouTubes current thing with firearm content but they've just recently came out with some rather not good news. The Facebook post is from InRangeTV's page. This is real by the way.
https://www.facebook.com/inrangetv/posts/2170113519682253
InRangeTV takes pride in its consistently forward looking approach to digital media in today’s world of partisan censorship, fake news, and corporate encroachment into publication of potentially controversial information. YouTube’s newly released released vague and one-sided firearms policy makes it abundantly clear that YouTube cannot be counted upon to be a safe harbor for a wide variety of views and subject matter.
In a search for solutions to life’s challenges, an understanding of the past can provide valuable insight. With its foundation as a channel dedicated to understanding firearms through the lens of history, InRangeTV is ideally positioned to recognize trends likely to succeed. In particular, an understanding that vice and pornography have long been leading drivers of communications technology and infrastructure.
For this reason, InRangeTV is pleased to announce its expansion onto the PornHub network.
PornHub has a history of being a proactive voice in the online community, as well as operating a resilient and robust video streaming platform.
InRangeTV is excited to be joining a group of content creators who are truly open and non-judgmental when it comes to potentially controversial content.
In addition to our other distribution outlets on BitChute, FaceBook and Full30, fans are encouraged to visit InRangeTV on PornHub, at:
https://www.pornhub.com/users/inrangetvshow/videos
InRange can always be found at our home page:

This is my rifle, this is my gun, this is for fighting and this is for fun...

I guess we'll finally see someone contrast and compare the different methods for off-body, on-body, and in-body CCW.
-
Dankest timeline. How can other timelines even begin to compare to this? The great god Kek approves. =D

The advertiments are certainly nicer than the ones on YouTube....

I have seen a lot of Twitter posts and other stuff talking about new Youtube rules on firearms. I haven't noticed any of the gun channels I subscribed to are banned, but I haven't looked in a couple days. I guess I may be using a different video service pretty soon. Full30 seems to work okay. I know sooch00 had put some videos on Vid.me, but I just checked and he isn't there anymore. I guess we will see.

I think the big complaint is "demonitization." (sp?) They don't ban your videos - they just don't play ads on your video, so you get nothing for it.

That's been happening for awhile now. But they can at least still get exposure and patreon followers, sponsers, etc. Channel gets banned though and even that goes bye bye.

They're banning reloading videos? Idiots.

I use YouTube daily, as the internet restrictions at work permit YouTube. So, while dating lunch, I often watch Hickock45, The Late Boy Scout, MAC, Forgotten Weapons, etc. I haven't seen any changes yet, but with the way theyerms are written, it appears possible all of the gun videos could be in danger, as they can be viewed as promoting the sale of firearms. Yes, I understand...their sandbox, their rules. Just sucks if I lose my lunch entertainment.

That's true. Though they (Youtube, Facebook, Twitter) doing the totalitarian SJW stuff may bite them in the ass in the end. While they are being totalitarian SJW, the SJWs are attacking them for not being SJW enough. Also we have the new "glued to your smartphone is bad" kick the SJWs are on (and I agree with them on that). They are not as "needed" as they think they are.
I would remind these big social media sites that there used to be Myspace, and there used to be AOL, and there used to be Compuserve. AOL thought they ruled the social media of the time and would be king forever, with a 3.5" AOL floppy in every home and everyone, everywhere ruled by AOL TOS in their virtual interactions. Then Usenet and the Internet came and spoiled their game. Nothing is forever. As Facebook killed Myspace, something will come along and kill Youtube. Then they'll be begging for firearm or any content to keep them alive.
-
They will get a lot of ricochet views.

Saw that. My first thought: "It's a bit early for April Fools' Day humor."

At least Porn Hub is not afraid to expand their horizons. They are sponsoring a motorcycle racer: https://jalopnik.com/motorcycles-brought-to-you-by-porn-1823951654

So, while dating lunch,
Helluva choice of words, when discussing Porn Hub.

And that's what I get for posting from my phone and not proofreading before I hit the Post button!

Okay, I'll confess. I looked last night, and there are some legit shooting videos on the site. They look like In Range videos. That said, I think I'll be going to Full 30. Less to explain t the wife when she looks over my shoulder. =D

Well I mean, I suppose you can always suggest collaborations if you're into that sort of thing...

I guess now we all get to find out whether it's really true what they say about guys using guns to compensate for something.
-
Other than Full30 and now PornHub, have any of you heard of other sites that guntubers are posting video on? I heard a couple guys mention they were working on alternatives last year, but I wasn't sure what the sites were.
Some of the sword and historical sword fighting guys were posting on Vid.me last year, but I checked back on that this week and those channels are not there anymore.
-
For what it's worth, several of the gun guys are stating that they will not go to a porno channel, as they want younger viewers to be able to watch their videos without having to see that other kind of content.

The gun grabbers would love to see gun content go to porn sites, not only to restrict access by kids who might want to find out more about guns, but also so they can equate interest in guns and gun owners with something sleazy.

They say that like most of the kids that'd be interested aren't already visiting said porn site

Searches including "shooting" + "load" are gonna be a lot less useful for either type of site user.

These days, which is going to be more of a problem for Johnny the teenager, being caught watching porn, or being caught watching gun stuff?

"I'm just learning what kind of grip to use!"

I wonder if a site like pornhub would be willing to branch off a sub-site for the stuff youtube will no longer host with out direct connection to their main service?

Or at least with different advertising and suggested videos.

They only have one question, "Can we make money?"
-
Different domain name, small "powered by Pronhub" banner in the corner somewhere.
-
Pronhub should sieze the opportunity and spin off a channel for everyone getting kicked off youtube.

Maybe, but it seems like there are some other video-hosting sites that would be jumping on this. And maybe they are. Vimeo and Patreon come to mind. (Seems like half the YouTube videos I watch end with "visit my Patreon page.")

From what I heard, youtube has cut revenue to content creators across the board in recent months or years, and that goes for a lot of subjects beyond guns.

Full30.com also hosts both InRangeTV and Forgotten Weapons, so you still have that option. I think Karl and Ian just want to, uh, diversify their viewership base, since I don't think full30.com has really caught on much even amongst gunnies...

Yup. Used to be you could make decent bank just off YouTube ad revenue, if you were popular enough. Not so much any more.
I'm not really sure advertising was ever all that great a way to make revenue, in the long run. Advertisers, and the audiences they are trying to reach, are too fickle. Hence the turn to direct funding from viewers.

Porn has had a huge effect on the internet and technology, I have zero issues with Pornhub showing gun videos.
