IT'S A PLOT! An EVIL plot!
Don't feel alone; they're after me too! [tinfoil] And not just with cheese balls, either!

Cool. I missed those. There is an HEB store brand that is pretty good locally, but I used to buy the Planters occasionally. Those were the best IMO. Eat so many my mouth was raw. Similar to getting chapped lips eating too many Fritos.
-
Back when I worked for the Michael Scott Paper Co., we ate those all day long.
-
Dirty, rotten, cork soaking bastages.
I will admit that in the past I had zero control when eating those damnable things.

Are they different from the Utz cheese balls in the plastic barrels at Sam's?

Yes. They say they are better.

If it is the same stuff Walmart sells, it is tasteless crap that is only fit for target practice. Planter's cheez balls actually have some taste.
-
If they bring them back as original I'm in trouble.
If they go cheap like the other, lesser, current offers, it won't be an issue.

POOR LARRY
A Pome For a Penny
He coped with Subs, both food and boats
When he was young, and feeeling his oats
Now comes Planters and their little cheese balls
Waking old cravings as his will power falls
Respectfully submitted,
Terry, 230RN

Utz Cheez Curls, or however they're spelled, are the best of the current crop of cheese curls. They're very good; Herr's are also quite tasty.
But they're not as good at the Planters.

RIP RKL
A life well lived!
Cut short for lack of ball control.

Salty and messy. Not my favorite snack.
