Title: Possibly no more Valintines day heart candy and Necco Wafers.

The company that made them shut down their plant. The Necco plant was bought by some other company so hopefully they start back up again. Necco wafers were one of my road trip candies. Just won't be the same without them. :'(

Those things weren't so much candy as flavored compressed chalk dust.

Necco Wafers will be missed in our house.  Wife likes eating them, and I like to use them as targets for my air rifle.

I drive past the NECCO plant on my way to Logan airport.  I've had the Necco wafers and the candy hearts.  Never liked either of them.

Never heard of those wafers. 

A coworker ordered a bunch of M&M's for a baby shower with the names of the babies on the M&M's (twins).  I liked that a lot better than the hearts.

Certain types of disgusting candy are mandatory. Candy Hearts fall in that category. How do you do Valentine's Day without candy hearts? Seriously, it's not February without seeing those somewhere.

I will miss Necco wafers.  Their chocolate-only rolls were pretty good.  I liked the wintergreen flavored wafers best in the standard mixed flavor rolls.  It was kind of a ritual, buying rolls of Neccos at the country store near my folks condo at Neskowin, OR., whenever I stayed there on vacation years ago.

They taste like flavored Tums but for some reason I still like the things.
