Title: ARG! WORK!

I just opened my email today at work, and I was CC'd on a message from my CEO to our T1 carrier that we're not renewing our contract when it terms in April.
Seems like something I should've known about, being that I am the IT manager.  Maybe even involve me in that sort of decision.

Are you planning on replacing the line with something else?  Whenever we try to get a new T1 line here at the office it usually takes at least 5 weeks.  We're looking at putting in a fifth T1 (already have one data and three voice) soon.

Yeah, he probably should have at least talked to you at some point.

Yes, we're replacing Telepacific with another carrier.  I know, it takes time.  I'm annoyed.

Hey, you're lucky he cc'd you & you didn't find out 01APR and assume it was a joke.

Why have an IT mgr or any support mgr type if you don't tap them for advice in their area of expertise?
