Title: Crushing the myth of women soccer equality
Post by: Silver Bullet on June 29, 2019, 01:39:05 PM
Two years ago the women's national soccer team played a practice game against "Under 15" soccer academy in Dallas.  The 14-year-old boys beat them 5-2.

I like this quote from the reader comments:

Quote
most people don't know that the women's team plays boys teams across the US to warm up for the women's competition. And they lose to boys....all the time.

I heard a guy at work claim the women's team could stand up to the men's team.   =D  I'm thinking not.

Don't remember where I saw it but Serena Williams would be ranked in the 170s if men and women competed against each other in tennis.

Still, though, being one of the top 200 tennis players in the world is a phenomenal achievement.

I went to their website to see if I can tell which one it is, but....

I couldn't.

I spent about 20 min poking about the web and found out that 5 of them (and their coach) are lesbians, and there is a pay discrimination lawsuit going on, but no mention of one of the US Women's Soccer players being trans, or male.

You guys got more gossip?

I was referring to the captain or co-captain or whatever that's spending her time making political statements instead of kicking the ball around.

Blast from the past
I remember when we used to claim the Eastern Block were passing off men as women in women's Olympic sports and criticized them for it. My how times have changed.

I guess I should have put a snarky emoji in my post.

Yes, I know she's a she. She just comes off as the "man" in her relationship.

Yes, I know she's a she. She just comes off as the "man" in her relationship dealings with life.
