Looks like that "sonic attack" that occurred in Cuba a while back and affected our diplomats might end up being over-application of mosquito pesticide.

There were diplomatic personnel in China and a few other shady countries who came down with similar symptoms/ brain damage.

I note that the pesticides used were organophosphates, which are a chemical cousin to many nerve agents (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organophosphate#Nerve_agents) and exposure to these pesticides can produce many of the symptoms reported in Havana.

And they said 5 times the normal amount was used in and around the embassy.

If this was done by Cuban groundskeeping staff, it may have well been an attack, just of a different kind.

That would present as generalized inhibition of acetocholine sterase throughout the body's nervous system. As I understand it these cases presented brain injury mechanism was physical insult, be it concussion, directed infrasonic, or other.

I think you mean:
Organophosphate poisoning would show chemically throughout the body. But the Cuban cases looked like physical trauma to the brain, as would be the case with concussion or low-frequency acoustic energy, or other similar physical assaults.
