Title: Pure 80's cinema cheese
Post by: Brad Johnson on June 09, 2020, 04:59:43 PM
Spaced Invaders, one of my favorite 3B (3 beers and it's great) movies from the 80's, will soon be on Blu Ray.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087SD5DRT?pf_rd_r=J87XEZ4GRS8SG4DFSFKB&pf_rd_p=edaba0ee-c2fe-4124-9f5d-b31d6b1bfbee

I remember it as schlocky, nonsensical, silly fun. I wonder how it's held up?

Now... Prepare to Die, Earth Scum!

"I have not yet begun to fight"
"Well now would be a great time to start!"

Airplane! was in 1980, just across the line.  Not sure how many people remember smoking used to be allowed on planes.

The Naked Gun and Police Academy.  These are more well known movies.  Not sure if there are rules on this.   =)  The Blues Brothers is another one of those.

Dark Star is hilarious, but it's all so dry and deadpan, the comedy goes over people's heads.

Commando with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

This might get forgotten after the Predator and Terminator movies.  Arnold had a pretty good string of action movies that were all fairly entertaining.

And when movies went out of their way to make very short heros look tall.  (okay that hasn't changed)
