This popped up on my Youtube feed. Channel is called Captain Disillusion.

Not familiar with the channel but it seems a decent watch. Sciency stuff in a format obviously aimed at kids. This episode had special guest star Paul Zaloom, better known as Beakman from Beakman's World. Loved the show and thought he was a much better scientist than Bill "Expert On Everything I Know Nothing About" Nye. More entertaining too.

That was awesome. I had completely forgotten about Beakman's World.
And my children are at a perfect age to appreciate it now. Excellent! Thank you.

Bill "Expert On Everything I Know Nothing About" Nye.
Bill Nye The Actor Guy as I call him

I, too, loved Beakman. Watched it religiously for quite awhile.
Dang. Just found out that Mark Ritts, who played Lester the Lab Rat, died of kidney cancer a few years ago.
And yes, Beakman was TONS better than Bill "I'm not really a scientist" Nye.

I remember watching that show growing up.

Looking up the Wiki on Paul Zaloom, I didn't realize he was associated with the Dante's Inferno film that used paper puppets, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dante%27s_Inferno_(2007_film) If you haven't seen it I highly suggest watching it. It is really good.

I grew up with "Mr Wizard," Don Herbert, in the mid-twentieth century.

The others came later, so I rarely watched them. But I was impressed (as you can tell) by the elegance (almost every part had multiple funcions) of the Beakman Motor.
I guess I wasn't the only one, since it approached legendary status for a while.
