I just got a New (Refurbished) MacBook Pro in yesterday. Apple just announced that they are putting out a new model next week with a much faster chip for the same price. :/
Ah well, I decided to entirely buy into the apple environment as I have iPhones, an iPad, and a crappy Thinkpad from 2012 or so (the wife took my good one when I kicked her out of the house). The new laptop works pretty well once I got used to some of its quirks.

I predict the new one will be a compatibility headache for a good while. If you do more than web based stuff anyway.

The new one won't come with an AC adapter.

It'll only run on unicorn farts and happy thoughts.

It probably won't be repairable, either. Apple is making it a PITA for anyone that's not an Apple employee to do anything with their stuff by pairing the hardware in a device so that even if you have an exact duplicate part taken from the same exact model, you can't swap it in without it causing issues.

Yep, I've installed many screens and batteries but I won't touch them now.

I was pretty neutral towards apple until a few years ago when I took a phone in for a battery change. I had dropped it a few times and the screen popped out of the case in one corner. They told me they wouldn’t touch it because the battery might be ruptured, and even after telling them that I thought the screen was like that from dropping it, they simply gave me a new phone off the shelf, free of charge, and set it up for me.

Apple announced they would stop packing power cables with their products since they figured you will already have one or two from pass purchases.
Would be great if they would stop changing the darn things.

Yeah, they have some weird new USB wire that required me to pay about $18 for an adapter dongle.
