I feel as though our president has betrayed us. Is it just me or does anyone else feel this way?

Welcome to APS Scott.
This will probably get moved to politics.
Trump is not and hasn't been a fiscal conservative the last four years.
He makes deals.
The system is set up to spend money, not balance the books.
Money policy and government spending are inflationary by design. It's a feature not a bug.
-
After a bloated defense spending bill a couple years ago, Trump said "never again" or something like that in response to Pelosi getting a bunch of stuff added to it to pass it. I was hoping he would VETO it and leave it to Biden to sign stuff like this. I guess that didn't happen.
-
If the Republicans weren't grifters in league with the Democrats they would be passing bills giving unseemly amounts of money to "Heritage America".
Bailing out middle America from the hollowing out that occurred after the globalist take over would be a winning platform. But it doesn't really get you any kickback and payoff money, it just helps people temporarily.
Another odd thing is all the libertarians getting outraged when anybody suggests spreading the grift around, sending some down to the proles. The white hot outrage is a sight to behold. $1200 !!!! The horror!
Funnel money to the rich globalist "capitalists" and all you get is a tisk tisk... and a yawn.
Merry Griftmas

It appears that Trump was under pressure from Congressional Republicans, esp. McConnell, to sign the bill.

Trump’s out in less than a month he had zero incentive to sign it

I think he is still trying to get the $1200 bucks into the folks hands.
