I hope this isn't the first time anybody has noticed this.
A fundamental precept of many groups is to populate, populate, populate. The injunction to "go forth and multiply" has been fulfilled. It would be time to backtrack on that except it would be contrary to many groups' hopes to achieve political ascendency by force of numbers.
You don't need 1000 years to show how this works.
In a popuation of 1500, neglecting death rates and other variables:
Group A has a population of 1000 and a birth rate of 1% a year.
Group B has a population of 500 and a birth rate of 5% a year.
Goup B's population will slightly exceed Group A in 18 years to the tune of 1203 versus 1196.
1000 X 1.0118 = 1196 (Group A)
500 X 1.0518 = 1203 (Group B)
If my arithmetic is correct.
At that point, Group A better watch their collective asses. Majority rules, after all, in a true democracy. There is no longer "The Queen's Loyal Opposition" or "an influential Minority," there is only "my way or the highway re-education furnaces."

I believe we have already reached an unrecoverable tipping point in terms of "the tyranny/ of the majority."
And since increasingly, politicians have to pander to this voting bloc to get re-elected, institute strict term limits for every public office and the hell with the negative consequences of this.

You're preaching to the choir, brother. Can I get an "Amen" to that?
For several decades I have advocated -- and mostly practiced -- simply voting against the incumbent in any election for a position that doesn't have term limits. If they won't enact term limits, it's up to us, the voters, to impose term limits through the ballot box. There is the possibility that always voting against the incumbent may occasionally vote out someone who is competent, but the odds are against that and I think establishing the principle is more important. And, of course, in any election in which the challenger is so odious that their election just can't be allowed, it's always possible to make an exception and vote for an incumbent.

People always said we had enough nukes to destroy the world several times over. I recall Rush pointed out someone looked at that and said it was only enough to raise the average background radiation by a small amount. Lots of cities would be destroyed, but far from the whole world.

My vote is for a new bio weapon designed to piggyback on the spike protein recognizing antibody we have all so conveniently stimulated in ourselves. (except the Chinese who supplied the blueprint for the spike, apparently they use some other vaccine.... ) Just a nice little ADE (Antibody Dependent Enhancement) event for anyone vaccinated who gets the new bug. Lebensraum, Comrades!
