If you can figure out that something is abut to happen maybe you can do something about it.

Maybe not, and maybe you do the wrong thing but I'd like to have the information anyway.

Infinite monkeys banging away at infinite typewriters combined with human nature.  Everything can be predicted perfectly as long as the irrelevant is discarded.

All of this has happened before.  All of this will happen again.
