Ms. Goldberg has been suspended from The View for saying that the Holocaust wasn't about race. Her explanation?
She also discussed the controversy on Monday’s Late Show With Stephen Colbert, saying in part: “It upset a lot of people, which was never ever, ever my intention. I feel, being Black, when we talk about race, it’s a very different thing to me. So I said I thought the Holocaust wasn’t about race. And people got very angry and still are angry. I’m getting a lot of mail from folks and a lot of real anger.”
So, if someone says something mean about black people, that's racist. If someone kills a few million white people because he thinks they are racially inferior -- that's not racist.
Got it. Not only can only whites BE racist, apparently only blacks can experience racism.

Not that the Nazis weren't racist- they were as well. But the Jews were victims of anti-Semitism, not racism.
Race is technically defined by what type of skull you have. Heck, even many Ethiopians and Somalis are actually Caucasians (they have about 40% Caucasian ancestry, mixed with sub-Saharan African ancestry, but they inherited the Caucasian skull type.)

The Nazis classified Jews as a separate inferior race.
From our point of view it could be considered a non race issue but to the Nazis it very much about race.

Our definition of what constitutes a particular race is very broad with lots of fuzzy edges. The Nazi definition on the other hand was very fine in comparison but that was very common at the time.
Goldberg's problem in this is that she's looking at what constitutes a separate race from a modern American point of view and not from the viewpoint of early to mid 20th century Germany.

Part that disturbs me the most nowadays is compare the language the Nazis used to vilify the "Jewish race" to the language being used by many of the race baiters, including many talking heads in the MSM, nowadays to vilify the "white race" and it's pretty much identical.

They (or at least some) pretty much have the same goals even if they won't admit. I am sure they would say they would stop short of concentration camps and death chambers, but that isn't that much of a leap once you convince yourself you are superior and those other people are preventing your utopia.
