They would probably switch to cutting the valve stem and or the tire itself then, keying the car, etc
That said I don’t expect them to be brave enough to do it outside of their enclave cities.

And that's what makes it safe for them to do this bullshit. While I know there are people "stuck behind enemy lines" who I feel bad for, I kinda don't care if they let the air out of the SUV Pete Buttigieg keeps his bicycle in.

Letting the air out of the tires means, at the minimum, an air compressor is needed to refill the tires , which runs on fossil fuels either directly or indirectly. Worse, a tow truck may have to be called, which burns fossil fuels. If the tires are damaged, new tires will be needed, which are made and shipped using a non-Insignificant amount of fossil fuels, not to mention the environmental impact of having to dispose of tires.
So their net impact on the environment is negative, along with pissing people off who may have been on the fence or even supportive of their cause.
They in effect, applied the broken windows economics fallacy to environmentalism.
