Ian Dawson Tyson CM AOE (September 25, 1933 – December 29, 2022) was a Canadian singer-songwriter who wrote a significant number of modern folk songs, including “Four Strong Winds" and "Someday Soon", and performed with partner Sylvia Tyson as the duo Ian & Sylvia.

His lyric "..slippery city shoes.." from "Summer Wages" has become part of my seasonal lexicon.
He was a geat songwriter. Covered by multiple generations and generas of performers. Perhaps, I daresay, one of the greatest.

Suzy Bogguss has a very pure voice, one of my favorites in Country music.
