Title: Sci-Fi Spaceship Sizes
Post by: Ben on May 05, 2023, 10:29:19 AM
Another sci-fi spaceship size comparison.

https://youtu.be/tG8uC24Gbos

I watched it at 2x speed. I'm not sure about this one. Compared to the human they had for scale, the Jupiter 2 sure looked dinky. I know there have been a few Lost in Space iterations, but in the ones I've seen, the ship was pretty big with two levels. Here, a Hammerhead is bigger.

Yeah, he's way off on the J2.
Think he may be way off on the ET ship too.
Also IMHO off on Atlantis (SGA)

Minimal written SF, no credibility.

No Roger Young (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starship_Troopers), or New Frontiers.  No Xeelee nightfighter (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xeelee_Sequence).  No Michael (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Footfall) or Thuktun Flishithy.

The Close Encounters mother ship seems a bit small

BTW: No Omega Class Destroyer

Great video !  Actually watche all 18:37 without skipping. Made me feel all puny and insignificant.  Come to think of it...
