But today it's 52 and drizzly, so I'm making a bit pot of split pea and ham soup.
Ham bone is boiling right now.
Has about 6 more hours to boil.
The ham itself, left over from Easter, is defrosting.

Not my best pot of split pea and ham, but not my worst, either.
Made for a good dinner.

Is enough left over to make popsicles?

Huge pot in the fridge. Took some for lunch today, will take for lunch tomorrow and for the rest of the week.
After boiling the ham bone for 7 hours on Saturday the broth was firmer than jello Sunday when I pulled it out of the fridge. Just what I wanted to see.
I cut it with a quart of chicken stock and added celery and onions and 2 bags of split peas and about 1.5 pounds of diced ham.
It's set up beautifully in the fridge. It's like scooping ice cream.
