Sure looks like a badly stylized M16A1 the guy in the first one is carrying.

So Denver gets the taxpayers to pay some deadbeat artist to do lousy-perspective "art" that does the whole "America is Imperialism" shtick?

That's quite a site, Sindawe.  If even one of those things are true, it could be significant.  In the meantime, this is interesting.  The CIA is moving (or has moved, this is from 2005) to Denver

Either I'm stone blind or that's definitely a stylized Kalashnikov.  Look at the buttstock, cover plate, mag, and handguard.  All clearly AK ish.  M16 is kinda distinctive looking, you know?  Uniform is a bit more generically "evil".  Looks commie to me, but I'm biased.  Still think my old drill sergeants would smack me upside the head for not plugging it a couple times. 

Definitely strange artwork.  Not bad quality, but I suppose it's subjective.

Governent subsidizing crappy artists is why many gov't buildings have some downright ugly art. If you can't sell it to somebody, get the gov't to sieze the money for you.
