Title: Best Nigerian Scam? And how would YOU respond?
Post by: Bogie on July 04, 2007, 08:10:08 AM
Well, today's is below... At various times, I've responded that the FBI was watching my computer, so they should format their hard drive before the secret police kick their door in, or that my colleagues and I would be happy to help them - we can have 50 trainers onsite in two weeks, and provide 100 helicopters, pilots, and small arms for a thousand motivated troops, in order to overturn the horrible coup that has affected them. Assassination is also a possibility. One of our captains will be contacting them within two weeks, sincerely, Col. Bogandru, Ret.

Heh...

Dear Sir,
With full corporate responsibility under penalty of Perjury, I want
to ask your personal assistance and co-operation as I propose
hereunder:
I am the Manager of International Commercial Bank, Kaneshie Branch in
Accra, Ghana and I got your contact during my search for a reliable,
honest and a trust worthy person to entrust with this transaction. I
was introduced to the late Yugoslavian President, Mr. Slobodan
Milosevic during the Kosovo war in 1999 and when he confidentially
deposited 450 Kilograms of Gold Bars and the sum of USD$3,550,000.00
in a fixed deposit account with my branch.
Unfortunately, Mr. Milosevic did not leave any beneficiary for this
deposit and that made it impossible for us to contact any of his
Family to claim the Fund. Then I decided to move the fund into a
suspense account without beneficiary and find a Partner overseas who
can assist me to withdraw this deposit as beneficiary/depositor. I
have already submitted an audited approved end of the year Report for
the year 2006 of my branch to our head office at Makola Shopping Mall
here in Accra; this excess will never be discovered.
As an officer of the bank I cannot directly claim/withdraw this
money, but I want to use you as Front to claim the fund legally. Thus
I am impelled to request for your assistance to receive this money
into your bank account. I intend to part 40% of this fund to you
while 60% shall be for me. I do need to stress that there are
practically no risk involved in this transaction. The transaction
will be a bank-to-bank transfer.
I will send you copy of my Passport and the procedures that we shall
apply to legally transfer the deposit into your bank account, when I
receive your confirmation. Your timely response will be appreciated.
NB: Please send your reply to my private emial and contact below.

Sincerely Yours,
Patrick Ansah

Trophy time.
Ask for a picture of him infront of a sign that says I'm your asshat.  Tell him your name is James Asshat.

This reminds me of a funny thing that happened on a Swedish forum. One guy had gotten a 419-letter, and according to his posts, believed everything written in it...he had even sent money to them.  cheesy
I think he dissapeared after a while grin. Guess he didn't get any money...and was too embarrased to show his face again grin
Or maybe he got his 30% of 200 million bucks, and spends his days on a beach in Thailand now smiley

Heck, I know a guy who actually sent money for a plane ticket to some "girl" in "Russia" or Bosnia or Czechoslovokistan or something...

419eater is one of the funniest sites on the web.

I was stringing along some scammers for awhile.

They finally got wise (I was kind of hamfisted about it) and they put me under a voodoo death curse, so I put them under a Pennsylvania German hex.
