Mandates that all semi-auto handguns sold in California must stamp the spent catridge in two places with the gun's ID information before ejecting said catridge.

And useless for tracking down criminals.  What's to stop a guy from grabbing a handful of spent brass from a range, and scattering it about his crime scene?  Or filing off the stamping numbers.  Or, how about just use a revolver?

Sounds like it's as big of a waste as ballistic fingerprinting.
How much money did they say they put into that?  And not one crime solved...

It's not about tracking down criminals or any of the other mealy mouth brainless excuses they give.  It's about discouraging/outlawing private gun ownership.  That's all.  Unfortunately (for them) they can't 'disinvent'  firearms and some of the population will always be armed.  Unfortunately (for them) they won't know who.

Microstamp this

Done. If this gets passed in Cali, it's going to get the ball rolling in other states.
We have to kill it now.

The Governator has not signed or vetoed this bill yet.  Please phone in your opposition once or twice more, so he gets the point.
