Title: Coffee cubes and other beverage garnishes.
Post by: Perd Hapley on September 25, 2007, 03:07:46 PM
Coffee cubes:  Pour coffee into an ice cube tray and freeze.  This is a great use for coffee that you don't use in the morning.  The cubes are good for iced coffee drinks, milk, or just cooling down a cup of coffee without watering it down.  A little coffee is also good for your iced tea.  Try it in your cola drinks, if you're adventurous.

Lime and lemon aren't anything new, but add them to your juices or sodas.  Heck, I don't know, try squeezing a lime wedge into your vanilla ice cream.  Let us know if it's any good.

With a little help from the little woman.   smiley  The cubes were her idea.  And a good one, too.

Until the day you open up the freezer looking for something to eat, and you are confronted with 500 coffee cubes.

Cold brew your own liquid "instant coffee"  Wink

Keep the concentrate in your fridge, pour into cup about 1/4 full, and add boiling hot water.

Never any leftovers that way, and it tastes much better than regular brewed coffee.
