Title: Should I start a blog?
Post by: Perd Hapley on July 27, 2005, 07:46:38 PM: I have a notion to start a blog, through blogger.com.

I'd really like a place to dispense my distilled wisdom. I figure I would run it like a weekly column, and then post responses every two or three days. I haven't spent much time on blogs, and don't know a whole lot about them; I just like writing and broadcasting my opinion.

Will this take hours every day?

Any suggestions?

Anybody want me to spend my time on a blog, instead of annoying you here on the APS?

You can have a weekly collumn, short updates on your life, or just a place to link people to where you have your basic political arguments, IE "Why gun rights," "Why libertarianism," or "Why aliens own all of us."

Give it a try. And keep us updated!

I keep my friends apprised of my activities, post pictures, ask for advice, etcetera. It's probably not interesting unless you know me, however it might give you an idea of how they are run. To get more samples, just click the friends button in the upper right corner, to see all of my friend's livejournal posts. Again, not interesting unless you know them, but it might give you more ideas.

IMNSHO that's about all Blogs are good for. I don't mind reading (or writing) that kind of Blog. It's when they go all self-important that they become tedious.
