Title: Id this gun
Post by: never_retreat on April 13, 2011, 10:27:48 PM: Can anyone Id this gun? Its a smith and wesson. Rim fire of some sort, not sure what cal. Bigger than a 22.

I am unfamiliar with the model 2, so I don't wish to make any absolute statements, but it seems to me that gun is also a model 1Â½. BTW mine is also in 32 rimfire.
Until someone more familiar with S&W revolvers responds and explains the difference I am going to maintain that gun is the same model as mine. If nothing else it ought to add a tad bit of spice to the thread. [popcorn] :cool:

I'm not a S&W expert by any means but the Model 2 was a tip up design, and the Model 1 1/2 was a break top, wasn't it. The pictured revolver hinges at the top of the frame.
