Title: Nevada caucus?
Post by: zxcvbob on February 05, 2012, 05:38:11 PM
Anybody here know how the Nevada caucus works?  Did Romney actually win anything other than bragging rights?

Minnesota is a caucus state but the presidential straw poll is non-binding.  Does Nevada work like that?  Most people leave after the presidential poll, and the MN Ron Paul supporters stick around and elect themselves to be the delegates.  (that's the idea anyway, my county is not very organized and I haven't seen a slate of delegates yet)

in my area supposedly there were 30 registered R's - 5 showed up to Caucus.

All the R party in NV does is tell you who your vote will go to, in complete partnership with the D's at the leadership level.

I love it here but the stench of the corruption is pretty vile.
