Read today that Rocky De La Fuente (had never heard of him) will be on the Montana presidential ballot as the American Delta Party candidate. He has run as a democrat for some Florida elections and now is somewhat associated with Ross Perot's Reform Party.
I've found nothing on the American Delta Party. Anybody know anything about this guy/party?

Maybe he's running as a Delta because his previous runs as an Alpha, Beta, or Gamma party candidate were unsuccessful?

One thing I remember about Montana from my time there 10 years ago is the presence of apparently quite decent Democratic politicians...pro gun and everything.

Somehow, that amused me.
How do they know what Ancient Greek sounded like?
It's like a mimic "doing" his impression of Abraham Lincoln's voice.
So a modern delta should be pronounced "thelta?"

I'll go along with the poetic evidence, though, in terms of one pronounciation fitting the meter better than another.
(Besides, he said, parenthetically, I was just making a wisecrack. However, this extra information is helpful, so thanks.)

Anyhow, more power to the Delta Party if they want to CHANGE the direction of the country toward the right.
Less power to them if they want to take our direction still more to the left.

Although none of those are inherently bad, all of them (pardon my well-founded redneck post-judices) are "indicators" that he is another leftist.
