Title: FISA Court
Post by: Hawkmoon on May 27, 2017, 11:56:58 AM
I am amazed. I'm glad I was sitting down when I read this article, else I would probably have fallen down. It appears the FISA court actually criticized the NSA for warrantless spying on Americans.

Is this April 1 rather than Memorial Day weekend?

Funny that.   I just watched the movie "Snowden" last night.

I think a lot of politicians from both parties are praying that we stay distracted by Trump and that this dies a quick death.

Considering FISC is normally a rubber stamp... That's really really bad sign for the NSA if someone who blindly approves something like 99.995% of requests says there is an "institutional lack of candor for failing to inform the court" and "a very serious Fourth Amendment issue."

My thoughts exactly. Hence my state of shock when I read the article.

And who will ultimately go to jail for this?

If the answer is "Nobody" then the FISA court's criticisms are meaningless.
