Dear nursing staff:

Remember, if I find out about this sort of thing, I have to do something about this sort of thing.

Your risk manager

Maybe the guy should be studied if he was that endowed even after death.

So he should his body to science so their genitals could be studied?  I figure any study would involve cutting them off for dissection and I don't think I would like that even if I was dead.   =)

I would bet cash money that at least some of the staff viewing the body took pictures on their cell phone to share with others.  Of course, you would deny it when Risk Management, the cops or the Nursing Board is asking you about it.

If military, court martial and discharged after all legal actions, also, any and all medical licenses and certificates revoked for life.
If civilian, all possible legal actions and same loss of all medical license/certificates for life.
Not only did they show an extreme disregard for patient privacy and health, by posting on social media the demonstrated they are far too *expletive deleted*ing stupid to be trusted with the health and well being of patients.

Well, here are a couple who are corpsmen. Hopefully that will soon be past tense.

The only thing 'good' about these cases is that the staff involved are stupid enough to provide irrefutable evidence (photos) of their misdeeds.  At least that reduces the amount of time you spend on the investigation.  I see a bad conduct discharge in their future, and they are going to find it difficult to find civilian healthcare employment when they get out.

And so the ride to the Big Chicken Dinner for the corpsmen begins.  Please hold tight to the handrail.

Probably a good idea to call for the stand-down, but I hope the commanders on the scenes communicate better than their boss:

Quote
The "highly offensive photos and videos," said Faison, were "shared on various platforms and ... viewed by hundreds of thousands of individuals." That behavior, he said, is inconsistent with the Navy's core values, medical ethics and the oaths the corpsmen took for their profession.

"In an age where information can be shared instantly, what we say and post online must reflect the highest standards of character and conduct, in both our personal and professional lives," Faison said in a message posted to the force.

Taken at face value, this could easily be interpreted as "don't be stupid and post public photos when you're doing bad things." The message should not be that the "highly offensive photos and videos" were shared on public platforms. The message obviously should be that the behavior recorded in the videos was unprofessional and abusive, and will not be tolerated.

Likewise "In an age where information can be shared instantly, what we say and post online must reflect the highest standards of character and conduct, in both our personal and professional lives." Never mind what we say and post online -- how about what we DO when we're taking care of patients? If we don't do unprofessional stuff, then there's no need or reason to worry about unprofessional stuff being posted online.

I'm not understanding. Isn't that a standard term most new parents use for babies?

For a bunch nurses (who probably see a variety of penises on a daily basis) to be sooo impressed by a male appendage that they lost all professional composure, on a frigging corpse for crying out loud, well that must have been something in the +5 standard deviation range.
