Title: TSA... keeping us safe from finger guns
Post by: Brad Johnson on January 12, 2018, 09:42:24 AM
At Texas Tech student walking through Houston Hobby flashed another TTU student the 'Guns Up' gesture, TTU's hand sign. TSA pulled her aside for questioning. For a finger gun. This in a state where the gesture is just a well-known as the Aggie's thumbs up or the Longhorns hook-em horns gestures. And the TSA wonders why they are the focus of such ridicule.

The only thing worse would be taking away a child's GI Joe because it had a two inch toy gun on it. Oh wait, they've done that...

"And the TSA wonders why they are the focus of such ridicule."

Actually, they don't wonder why. They're simply not intelligent enough to comprehend that they're being ridiculed.

Looking at her pix, I find the TSAbot's desire for a closer look more or less forgivable.   >:D

(I wonder if she has a publicity dude who put her up to this.)

Ehhh, I doubt it.

1.  She's a blond.

2.  People that go to Texas schools are always making stupid hand gestures.  I've work with a couple guys from Texas A&M, and they were always making the thumbs up gesture and yelling "Gig 'em".    ;/ ;/ ;/

Wow... Someone absolutely nailed it in the comments...

"If you DON'T make a gesture...are you carrying a concealed weapon?"

No, that's only if you make the gesture under your jacket, so nobody can see it.

Durkin, however, said the TSA eventually let her off with just a warning, after she assured them she learned her lesson.

A warning? To do (or not do) what? Make the school's well-known hand gesture?

TSA -- Terribly Stupid aholes.

Last time I flew a friendly guy told me which gate to go to........ by POINTING with his FINGER!!!  I was unaware then, now I know he was pantomiming a hammerless gun.
