They didn't care when the national crusade matyr(pretty white girl) was killed by an illegal, why now?

Well, lack of attention from CA Reps does make sense.  The slain cop was a LEGAL immigrant and therefore of no use to the CA Reps.

Really? Anyone is actually surprised?

I'm actually kind of shocked that there weren't various state politicians openly celebrating the officer's killing.

I'd have been very, very happy had the police who apprehended the guy lit him up like a Christmas tree.

My fondest wish would be for every police officer in California, from the CHiPs to local, all go on blue flu for a week or two to show California's socialist ruling class exactly what happens without the police.

It would be a state-wide version of what happened in Baltimore a few years ago when, after the Freddie Gray riots, police simply stopped policing in Baltimore.
