It sounds as if the History Channel has done their now typical sensationalized botch job. I am, however, reading some of the links in the NYT article, and they make for interesting reading.

A channel that runs ANCIENT ALIENS should be taken seriously when it runs a show on Project Blue Book? :rofl:
45 or so years ago Jack Webb of DRAGNET fame did a short-lived series about Blue Book .... it was probably more accurate ..... save for changing names to protect the innocent.
I just take this as Sci Fi stuff.

Back in the 1970s there was a show called Project U.F.O. that was based on the Blue Book.
I'm pretty sure that's the one that Jack Webb was involved in.
I remember watching it; I also remember that it wasn't particularly good.

I've followed some of it. UFO paranoia is a deep, deep rabbit hole.
