I guess the council got an ear full...

I'm surprised that they didn't try to kick out everyone with a flag because that's really unwelcoming...

What they should have done was coordinate a little better and signed up to speak in front of the council, once there they could recite the Pledge and the people supporting it could join in. Do that 100 times and see what time the council members get to go home. ;)
