Title: New Jersey high school shooting
Post by: Hawkmoon on November 17, 2019, 10:45:10 AM
If anyone doesn't know, the day after the California school shooting there was a shooting at a high school football game in New Jersey. It's sadly ironic that such incidents somehow keep happening in states with the most draconian "gun control" laws in the nation. To anyone with a brain, this is proof positive that putting up a sign and declaring a venue "gun free" does not make it free of guns.

The New Jersey incident is also a sad commentary on the status of human nature. The police have made arrests (plural) in the case:

The shooter was a 31-year old male. His intended victim was a 27 year old male. Police think the shooting was some sort of vengeance. Fine, but getting your revenge at a high school football game? Seriously? The intended victim was one of the three wounded, but two others were also shot -- a 10-year old boy and a 15-year old boy.

There was only one shooter, but SIX people were arrested, including the 27-year old victim. Why was the victim arrested? Because he, too, had a gun at the game (which was on the high school's field, and thus legally a "gun free" venue. How gun free was it? In addition to the shooter and the adult victim, four other men were also arrested on weapons charges. If they found six, how many other people at the game should we assume were carrying (illegally)?

I think the media misspelled "Gang fight".

Black on black or black gang shootings don't count as actual shootings.

Black on black or black gang shootings don't count as actual shootings.

Unfortunately, when they take place on school property they do count. Otherwise, I agree with you.

Could we clarify what we're saying about black-on-black shootings, maybe?

"Gun free" zones obviously aren't free of guns.

"Victim disarmament zone"
