Title: New and Old Cooking Shows on Amazon Prime
Post by: makattak on December 09, 2019, 10:47:44 AM
I've discovered some really great cooking shows on Amazon from the 80s and 90s through today

The nice thing is that it seems ingredients have only gotten easier to find for the recipes from those years.

My favorite, so far, has been "A Taste of History" which is more recent, but it's a German Chef who immigrated to America, cooking in the style that the colonists from the 1700s would have used, cooking over an open hearth.

The fun bits of history that are included have been enjoyable as well.

The Julia Childs shows and the "Great Chefs" series are quite good too. There's a lot of options on Amazon prime for those who are interested.

Hum... Going to have to check out some of those. I never thought of searching Prime for cooking shows.

One of my favorites over the years was The Two Fat ladies, a British show. They didn't give recipes per se, but more cooking demonstrations, but you can find the recipes online.

There was another one with a Benedictian monk called Baking Bread with Father Dominic. I think it was only one or two seasons back in the 1990s, but he had a really good TV personality.
