Find something interesting from SHOT? Or something so stupid that we all need to see it? This is the place.

This first one is from Amend2. It is a Sig grip housing that fits 320 slides, but lets you use 365 mags. Basically, it makes your double stack 320 into a single stack.

Springfield Armory take-down micro AR.
There are several companies making Glock copies. I guess the patent expired. Shadow Systems 920, Adams Arms, and another I can't remember.

Diamond Arms folding rifle in 5.7 that uses FN 5.7 mags.

Keltec Sub2000, integrally suppressed, folding rifle.

That micro-AR looks kinda cool. I'll be curious on price and calibers.
I just saw a Shadow Systems at Cabela's the other day and was thinking WTF is that? I'd not heard of them before, but here they were being sold at a chain store.

Interesting to me is PSA's 299$ Not-a-Glock that takes Glock magazines, several things like the trigger group are compatible with aftermarket Glock accessories, and includes some of the things we'd love to see on a Glock (metal sights, standard rifling, mag well cut outs and undercut trigger guard, etc.
In short if the parts that matter are truly compatible, it runs reliably, it rides well in a Glock holster, etc? And PSA gets the thing out the door for 299$ (and talked of additional models such as RMR and suppressor ready are likewise well priced)? Unless you're just not a fan of Glocks I'm failing to see a downside to buying this over a Glock, assuming of course the thing delivers.

(No photos, but some info stolen from a thread on Calguns)
Palmetto State Armory is coming out with a slew of AKs:
PSAK-47 GF3 = forged parts + CHF nitride barrel
AK-P = pistol version of PSAK-47 GF3
PSAK-47 GF4 = forged parts + PSA CHF chrome lined barrel
AK-103 "standard" = forged parts + PSA CHF chrome lined barrel
AK-103 "premium" = forged parts + FN CHF chrome lined barrel
PSAK-E = forged parts + forged NiB bolt/bolt carrier + FN CHF chrome lined barrel + ALG AKT trigger
PSAK-47 GF3 "spiker" = forged parts + CHF nitride barrel + (blonde) wood stock set + underfolding spike bayonet
PSAK-74 = forged parts + CHF nitride barrel (5.45x39mm)
PSAK-556 = forged parts + stamped RPK receiver + CHF nitride barrel (5.56x45mm) + STANAG magazine well
-
Did they have a PSAK-74 prototype at Shot Show? I know they have talked about that coming down the pipeline.
They did have a prototype of the PA5 (MP5 clone). They said it would be out in 2020. There was also an AR-V 9mm carbine out.

Keltec Sub2000, integrally suppressed, folding rifle.
That Sub2000 has my interest. An integrally suppressed 9mm sub-gun with an MSRP of $1000. Not much more than buying a larger 9mm suppressor. They said they hope for 2nd quarter or summer availability.
The Diamondback 5.7x28 carbine looks like a really lightweight little carbine to backpack or carry around for varmints. They said it was 3.5 lbs. I will have to watch the reviews later to see how it does in the wild.
And I am not sure why I care, but the SA Saint folding AR looks interesting simply due to the compact size is breaks down to. I can't see buying one, but it is still interesting.

So I guess Sig has this new XFive Legion at the show, and I read the headline to this article: "Sig Sauer’s New XFive Legion Pistol Is Designed for Lightest Possible Recoil" and I'm thinking, "What did they do? Something with the gas system, or some other internal components, or what?"
No, they just gave it the weight of a 1911.
One of the first things I did when I moved to Idaho was buy the lightweight 1911 for carry that I couldn't have in CA. But I guess I'm behind the times again, and heavy is in. =D

Heavy is in with the gamers, who pay a premium to shave a fraction of a tenth of a second off their shot split times. In the real world, most people who carry a firearm are happy to have a few ounces less on their belt.

Sig has had the Legion line out for a few years now. The X5 must be their latest gun to get the treatment. You're right, though, all they do is add weight and maybe make it optics ready.
-
I have handled one of the competition Legion pistols at a gun show and that one was not heavy. It was about the same as the standard P320. I figure it would make a good shooter if I wanted it, but it was a large pistol for either competition or as a range toy.

Palmetto State Armory sure seems to be expanding into a major firearms manufacturer. Their AR-15 rifles have gotten cheaper and better quality (for reliability at least). They have expanded into AK's and 9mm carbines in 2019. Now, they will be putting out better AK's in multiple calibers, 9mm AR carbines, a $299 9mm Glock clone, and an MP5 clone and all made in the US and supposed to come out in 2020.

That 5.45 Krinkov clone looks sweet. About 6 minutes in.

A different look at some of PSA's stuff.
This one shows a piston 5.56/300BO rifle with a monolithic upper. Scheduled for 2020 also. Interesting.

This is just cool. Not practical, but still fun. Liberator 12K 3D printed 12 gauge revolver shotgun. [ar15]

Need a Gatlin gun? Of course you do. But to be practical, get it in 9mm. And it uses Glock mags!

The latest in range finders is adding in doppler wind readings. It has been a big task to get small, hand-held doppler wind readers, but Trijicon has one. 500 yard range on wind. 5,000yds for ranging.

Larue is doing a package deal bolt gun. .308 pistol and 20 inch 6.5CM. Easily converted. Didn't see a price.

Laugo Arms Czechoslovakia (their name) is finally bringing the ultra cool Alien pistol to the US. You can't afford it, but you're welcome to look. $5,000.

You can afford this. Modern version of the Liberator pistol. 9mm short or Nato. $129.

Brownells has an AR lower designed to match up with their BRN-180 upper with picatinny rail stock adapter instead of buffer tube threads. I saw it on their site for only $150. Cheaper than buying stock adapters and I can use the stock adapter I have on something else.

I wonder how hard it would be to get a 10.5"-12" barrel to work with tat piston system. That'd be kinda neat in pistol form with a side-folding brace.

Agreed. I have the rifle version. I sort of wish I had waited for the short barreled upper. I am torn between that and the CZ Bren 2 pistol at about the same barrel length.

If you don't like the CZ Scorpion or the PSA AK-V, you can get an AR style 9mm pistol carbine that still uses Scorpion mags (which are cheap).

I noticed this video last night. Looks like Robinson Armament is making a limited run of M96 rifles (Stoner 63 copies).
Are any of you familiar with with this? Some reviews say the rifle is really good. The $2500 price seems a bit high. The top feed is more.

One thing I recall seeing last weekend: Holosun developed a red dot that was solar powered only. 6 hours in the sun was charge it for 2000 hours of use.

A video of the new 21A's with various versions in a Sig-bow of colors. The guy also mentions that most or all of these will be available in .32 Tomcat versions. I wonder of the resurgence* of CCW as normal coupled with bullet tech improvement is going to fuel a comeback of the smaller caliber firearm.
*resurgence in this case as compared to when .32, .25ACP, and .380 were designed and marketed the first time.

My mother has a Beretta 32 with the tip up barrel. She always complained the pistols were too loud. Maybe it would be neat to get one of those and see how loud it was suppressed.

One thing I didn't notice earlier was the 500 blackout rifle. 50 caliber 911 grain bullet fired out of a cut down case at subsonic velocity. Not sure how good or useful it would be, but it looks interesting.
The gun collective put out this video. No one has a sample cartridge to show.

FOLDAR
Completely folded AR that fits in a small bag. Most AR's like this, the barrel separates from the receiver. This one is all folding and deploys pretty fast.
