I only just learned about it on YouTube, I would have thought there would be a bigger deal in the news. Covid-19, reportedly.
I was never a Mets fan, but I always appeciated and respected Tom Seaver and what he did for that team.

Long before there was Tom Brady, Tom Seaver was the original "Tom Terrific."
I was never a Mets fan, either, but I certainly remember Tom Seaver's name.

Lou Brock hits a little more close to home for me (no pun intended) as I was a Cardinals fan in 1967-1969. Great player. RIP Lou.
