This is virtue signalling at 200 MPH.

With MJ on board and a lot of companies trying to prove how woke they are sponsorship money should not be a problem. So they'll be able to put together a good team with top equipment.

However, even if they go with first tier equipment, Bubba is still a third tier driver.

Doesn't matter how good the car is if the driver can't make the moves necessary to get to the front.

Danica Patrick had Stewart-Haas equipment. They are a championship winning team with the best equipment possible and she only managed an average finish in the 20s.

Bubba is a better driver than her so maybe he might finish in the top 20 on average but he's not likely to ever win a race other than being lucky when weather causes a race to end early.
