As far as most of the looters and the worse of the rioters are concerned it never was about justice. I'll be shocked if it's peaceful tonight. I hope it is but I'm not holding my breath.

it's already starting here in portland. was up in my boss's office talking to him about an issue, overlooks i5 here in pdx. 13 cop cars including a couple swat rigs flying up the freeway lights and sirens about 15 mins ago

Riots will be calmer and less intense tonight as opposed to has the verdict gone the other way, but yes.
That said, the lesson they keep learning is that violence and rioting gets them what they want. And that prosecutors won’t pursue charges (against them, anyway).
So going forward I expect to see more and more rioting to accomplish their political goals.

And IMO fully justified in doing so. They can do everything according to training and even try to be nice to suspects and yet still thrown to the wolves.

Much quieter than I expected. Weather was crappy in many places so that may have had an effect.

In reality, given that GOP supporters believe that rampaging mobs burned and looted major cities — somehow without the people actually living in those cities noticing — getting them to see facts about something as abstract as the deficit is a hopeless cause 3/
