Title: "Birthing Person"

So apparently we are using "birthing person" not to satisfy the weirdos, but to "be more precise in our language".

I don't know who the questioner is, but to me he is correct that "mother" has seemed to work as precise language for thousands of years.

Control the language, control the issues.  In this case, it's a matter of establishing "reasoning" for the change as well as establishing confusion.

Soon "mountains" will become "reverse valleys," not for direct political reasons, but for conditioning the proles to accept change --just like "birthing person."

Far-fetched?  No, you're just not aware of the subtleties of propaganda techniques. 

Did I really exaggerate there with the "reverse valleys" just for the sake of illustration?

Take "assault rifle" and "ghost guns."

Take a "spokesman" claiming all the gun violence is due to people building their own guns with 3D printers.  (I heard that one recently on a TV News program.)

Every "impact" counts in advertising and propaganda.

Every impact.

Truth?  Ha-ha-haaaaa.

Tell a lie often enough and it becomes the truth.

If I were to encounter the term "birthing person" with no context, my immediate thought would be "midwife."

My first thought was the woman in labor who shows up at the hospital with a lay midwife, a doula, 15 different essential oils and a 20 page birthing plan with key portions highlighted.  ;/

Never mind that. What's the Vatican going to do about that woman saint from India? "Birthing Person Teresa"?

And pity Hallmark -- now they have to retool their entire line of cards for that "special day" in May ...
