We are back up. I'm working to resolve theme issues. If you find anything that isn't working correctly beyond themes please let me know.

It won't help posting it here, but for you facebook guys or if you know people here outside of APS who might have this issue: for some weird reason I couldn't get back to the site and was getting a window popup to download a file called "download" after the last reset. I ended up clearing my cache (cookies did nothing) and that cleared things up.

Okay, themes should be fixed. If you go to your profile and then Look and Layout you can switch themes.
The old style that I like is called Core Theme, but whatever themes you used to use should be there too.

No, that's the profanity filter, which is as it has been, for better or worse. CleanTalk weeds out the spam posters so the admins don't have to go through and individually identify the fake accounts.

Don't worry about it. I've got it paid up through 2026 already so we don't need to take up a collection for it. If we're going to raise some money for infrastructure I'd recommend sending Nick1911 cash for keeping up the Other Place.

I guess I should figure out how to use Brave or some similar browser on my phone to access the alternate site. Are there any free browsers for that? Last I remember I?d have to pay for a supported browser.

What was funny for me was that on old APS, I was set to "forever" for being logged in, so hadn't logged in in, well, forever. Went to do so when Cordex brought the site up this morning, and got a credentials error. I knew it wasn't my PW, since I use it often enough to get into the admin panel. Turns out that when APS started, I signed in with my old username of BenW, because that's what it is on TFL and THR, where there was already a "ben" at both sites. I changed my nickname here to "Ben" and forgot about that for a minute. :laugh:

That's caught me a couple of times as well since I changed my user name last year.

Brave is free and supports the type of connection you need for the alternate site. That said, I haven't been to the alternate site in quite a while. For some reason it doesn't like my password. It's like it changes the password or loses it between logins.

Hey Cordex - any input regarding avatars? I don't know if space is an equation here like it was on the old server, but any preference on uploading vs linking avatars (it appears uploaded avatars were left behind in the move (no big deal))?

I could not bring myself to replace the avatar of old Romy, but now that it has disappeared, I figure it's Steve's turn and it wasn't me that replaced Romy's avatar, so I don't feel as bad. =)

Not sure about the space issue. I have avatars turned off so I didn?t even notice. I?ll see if I can recover the missing avatars but anyone who wants can replace theirs.
