A car belonging to a LA city councillor who campaigned on a pledge to abolish the police broke down. He then requested police protection of his car while it sat in a lot.
Hard to miss the irony but it fits a pattern.

I do not believe for one nanosecond that a low-level staff person called the police to request extra patrols without authorization or direction from the boss. As far as I'm concerned, this clown is just throwing his staff under the proverbial bus now that he has been caught in his hypocrisy.
