Title: Erectile dysfunction and motorcycle riding
Post by: MillCreek on April 05, 2023, 12:52:09 PM
https://www.oregonlive.com/health/2023/04/dear-doctor-is-there-a-link-between-erectile-dysfunction-and-motorcycle-riding.html

This has been discussed for years in the road bicycle riding community.  The typical road saddle puts a lot of pressure on the pudendal nerve.  I have not experienced this on the motorcycles but I suspect it depends a lot on the seat configuration and how long you are on the motorcycle.

I spent several months on a stupid bike patrol for a security company after being laid off from my primary assignment. I was required to be on the bike, in motion, for the majority of an eight-hour shift. This coincided with ED problems far out of proportion with my age. I am not in the least bit surprised.

Footnote: Cialis daily at 5mg was the cure.

Rode and raced motorcycles since I was in the mid single digits. Mostly raced Enduro, Short Track in my earlier years. Lots of nerve damage in my spine and enough meds to kill a horse since 20 - 25 years back. "Mr Happy" has been "Mr Sad" since around 2005ish. With all my pain and mobility issues plus slight heart issues, let's just say it has added to my depression.

I had a girl working for me in WA that went to San Francisco for surgery to turn her innie into an outie to match her beard and male pattern baldness (back off on the testosterone a little bit maybe?) and she could not ride motorcycles for over a year. I don't think it had anything to do with ED though, she had a pump for that. ;)

^ A pecker pump?

I wonder about rodeo riders, especially bull riders, but their problems may lie elsewhere.

Different saddle arrangement, though, and it's usually for only eight seconds at a time.

I think everyone that buys a HD should be required to complete a short course in the properties of sound and the Doppler effect. While they are at it a short course on being seen by employing, lights, hi vis clothing, etc by other traffic and not becoming part of someone's grill.  :old:
