Title: Want to see a CPU in more detail than you've probably ever seen before?
Post by: WLJ on May 09, 2023, 09:24:27 PM
Well here you go

Long story short some AMD 7800X3D CPUs have failed in a rather spectacular way and Gamers Nexus decided to take one to a Failure Analysis Lab to take a look inside the CPU and what follows is some really cool views inside a modern CPU.
BTW: They think it's probably the motherboard manufacturer's fault who they say is not cooperating.

And I should note they found melted silicon which BTW has a melting point of 1410 C (2570 F) Yikes!

And more on the motherboard

Your motherboard over volts the CPU causing them to explode.
ASUS: Here's a BIOS update to fix that. But if you install the BIOS update to keep your CPU from exploding it turns off the fancy features you paid big bucks for and you void your warranty. Have a nice day.

Wow, ASUS you suck
JayzTwoCents has had it with ASUS. Can't believe the two ASUS motherboard he just showed. Got to remember these are high end gamer boards in the $500-$1500 price range. Company should be kissing the customer's arse but are they? Nope. There's no excuse for this level of costumer service

I'm sorry ASUS... but you're fired!
