I don't recall anyone mentioning it, but ya never know.
Lookin' for a good place to camp (tent camp that is) fairly close to I80 for a night in late April. Dunno even if anyplace is gonna be open that early, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

Most state park should be open for camping, not sure if water for the shower houses will be on by then.
Are you set on Nebraska? I live smack dab in the middle of Iowa, 30 miles north of I-80 and there is a very beautiful state park 15 miles west of Casa de la Charby. The park reminds me of the Ozarks.

My wife's family is from Omaha.
I've camped at Mahoney State Park right off I-80 and it's just down the road from the SAC muesum. If you got youngun's above the age of 5, it's really cool. (and farily cheap)

Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.
Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
