Just graduated BMT!
« on: August 20, 2005, 12:02:13 PM »
Hello, everyone! I'm proud to say that I just graduated USAF BMT. No surprise, I got Expert Marksmanship. Wink A huge surprise to me was the fact that I was the top honor graduate. Apparently I looked quite surprised when they called out my name during the honor graduate ceremony. I'm just on town pass for right now, and I'll be staying at Lackland for another 4-6 weeks for my EUAC school. I'm excited for the DLI. Monterey is supposed to be incredible. I'll be learning Arabic, which I'm very excited about.

Anyhow, I've missed chatting here with fellow gunnies and have, of course, missed shooting a lot too. (Witch the exception of the day at the rifle range with an M16A2 Wink) Hopefully I'll be able to post again soon.

Very cool, and welcome back!  Glad you got the slot  you wanted at DLI. Should be lots of fun (according to SWMBO, who still talks about it 30 years later) . Hope to see you around more often, now that BMT is over with. Smiley

Ok, so as an Expert Marksman, maybe you can answer a question that came up while you were gone:

9mm or .45?

I have nothing to reference it to. Hardest thing I've been through.

Ah yes, Truemper Ave, Big Willy, the Skylark and Chaparral clubs, Lackland Lasers, 105F in the shade. Seeing those C130's flying over from Kelly AFB and just wishing you were on one.
You picked a heck of a time to be there.

I wonder if it's changed much since 1975?

That's should be a pretty valuable career field (figuratively and literally). That's quite an accomplishment. They don't let just anybody into that school.

Thank you for choosing to serve your country.
Personally, I do not understand how a bunch of people demanding a bigger govt can call themselves anarchist.
I meet lots of folks like this, claim to be anarchist but really they're just liberals with pierced genitals. - gunsmith
