The lady isn't so good, but there is a youtube video link here demonstrating how the media would have reported D-day. I thought all the experts and such were well done and typical.

Gotta remember, America's involvement in the European theater was, to many progressives, less about freeing Europe and killing Hitler than it was about saving the USSR and making Europe safe for the Stalin's depredations.
