Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

I hope all of you have a fantastic Thanksgiving!

It's one of my favorite times of the year. I'm already up at the folks surrounded by more pies and stuff than is really good for me. The dog and me scored some doves this morning to add to the turkey, and will hopefully get a few more tomorrow morning. Can't wait for the stuffing with my mom's killer homemade plum sauce, then of course the requisite nap by the fireplace.  :)

I was going to have Thanksgiving with a dear friend this year, she was always very lonely. AVM is a horrible disease, poor thing died in her sleep a few months back.

I'm not much looking forward to tomorrow, honestly.

Thirteen people other than the wife and I tomorrow, 7 under the age of 10. It should be a fun day, and I'm the chef (as usual). The Marine will be the only one missing, and we WILL miss him. I hope he can make it next year.

The first Thanksgiving without my dad is going to be a real downer, though.

Happy Thanks giving to my APS family. We are with family this week south of Morgantown WVA. Opening week of buck season and 2 hours in I bagged a decent 7 pointer.

Thirteen people other than the wife and I tomorrow, 7 under the age of 10

We've got nine grandkids, the oldest (twins) are eight.  With kids and spouses, and us, that makes seventeen.  Plus all the other relatives and friends.  We should have at least thirty packed in our little farmhouse tomorrow.  With crappy weather forecast.

While all of y'all are safe and sound with your families, take a little time to remember the troops that are deployed abroad. They are making sacrifices for y'all so everyone CONUS can be with THEIR families.

Absolutely! I was one of them folks for over 22 years and the men/women that serven as well as their family,  are the first ones in my prayers every day.
