I'm a bit confused by the writing. That seems extremely...dated, the jokes.

It's stuff that were jokes about five, ten years ago? The white headphones joke was from the FIRST model in like...2001? when they were iconic. Now every pair of dollar store headphones comes in white. Sure, it was funny then, people joked about it, but now it's about as "umm" as someone putting a fake antenna on their car so people think they have a cellphone.

And a spoof...on the old G4 cube?

Is that just how Simpsons is now?

Whatever happened to the good old days? When having a mac meant something. Not the time when it meant you were a retard and did not realize that no one has a mac. The period after that when they started opening mac stores and the computers started to look stylish. Now they are becoming the commoner's computer. I don't want that!! The Simpsons is written something like 10 Months in advance so they really struggle to be topical. Especially in comparison to say South Park, which is sometimes literally finished the day before it airs. I personally think The Simpsons "jumped the shark" at least five years ago, if not longer.

Lisa has become my favorite character over the years, so I appreciate watching the show lampoon American life through her eyes.  The spoof of "Run Lola Run" and Linguo the grammar-correcting robot come to mind as good examples.

It would have been funny in about 1998, that's all I'm saying. :) I remember those jokes from back THEN. What they're joking about hasn't existed for a long, long time. Topicality, not poking fun at Apple. Apple is worthy of a lot of jokes. My favorite one is that Jobs never wears anything but that turtleneck because it's the source of his power.
