Ladies and Gentlemen, friends, Administrators, Moderators, distinguished Guests; on this historic day, let me express how honored and how pleased I have been, to be your Most Active Poster.
[Dodges thrown shoe.]
I’m sure we all remember the milestones we have passed, leading up to this day. My thousandth post, my five thousandth, the day I became the first to break 10,000 posts, and that one time when I really annoyed someone. Does anyone remember that?
[Dodges other shoe.]
And who can forget those terrible days when our forum was tragically attacked, spammed, and denied service by cowardly, hateful internet terrorists?
But the people have spoken, and they have demanded Change. And though some of us thought we would never see this day, Manedwolf’s post count now exceeds my own by over a hundred posts. I congratulate him on a successful campaign that has
inspired exasperated so many people.
Though we may have our differences, I have also been
exasperated inspired by his prolific posting on subjects many and varied, not to mention his tireless efforts to create threads, dedicated to graphic design fail, film, politics, and many other subjects.
Like many of you, I watched in disbelief as his chief opponent, and the odds-on favorite, suddenly conceded the race. Though theories abound to explain such an unforeseen event, let me state for the record that I put no stock at all in the rumors that Manedwolf had photographs of The Rabbi eating a cheeseburger at the All Souls Parish Friday Night Cookout.
So from one blabber-fingers to another, I wish our new Most Active Poster all the best. May God bless the Armed Polite Society, and may God bless America.
